It's been an up and down few days. We went to the most beautiful wedding on the weekend. Really had a great night as all my family was there so it was great to catch up. The wedding was of our closest family friends, Ashley. Growing up he called me sis as we did everything together and he only had one brother. I was the only girl in my family and my brothers called me sis so it just stuck.
On Sunday a very special person to me passed away. She was given the name Aunty but really it should have been Nan. She was always there and was the nan figure as far as all my family were concerned. She was a much older sister to my dad and she and her husband took my dad in when both their parents passed away from cancer. He was only a young child when this happened and she was just newly married.
She cared for him like a mother would and likewise for us like a grand parent would. It's been an emormous loss for us all.
Her funeral will be on Friday 29th. We have so many family comming here as it was a large and very close family. I have to be high spirited on Thurdsay 28th though as it will be Logans 5th birthday. I want him to have a great day.
I've just had my dad call in though to tell me he went to the doctors this morning and it looks like he has Parkinsons Disease. It blew me away. He is at the hospital now having all the head scans but they're mostly certain from everything else. Just can't believe it.....
Had a delivery this morning from a family friend with the most beautiful orange flowers. Can't wait to see them when they open up. I've included a picture and will do the same in a few days time.
On a lighter note here is my Parker thinking he's Mr Cool. This is how he poses for the camera at the moment. Grabs his black sunnies and crosses the arms. How can you not love that ........... I just have to remind myself he is lovable when he won't stay in his room at night !!!!!!!!!!!!
Love and daisies to you all

Kristen, I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your "Nan". She certainly sounds like a very special person, a lady who was selfless and generous in her nature.
I will keep your dad and family in my prayers.
Happy 5th birthday to Logan for the 28th.
Hi Kristen,
What a shit about your dad. My nana's sister Dulcie was really my second Nan I was as close to her as I was my Nan. She was diagnosed with Parkinson's at 61. Because she had it for so long ,quite a few books on the disease where written with her as a case study. I'll have to find them.
She passed away from a heart attack in her 80's but with physio etc she functioned so well with it for such a long time. There's so much now that they can do to help, the treatment advancements have come so far.
Thinking of your Dad, and you,
Emma
